We leave Cusco and head to the charming village of Mollepata. We take advantage of some free time in Mollepata to enjoy a delicious breakfast.
We arrive at Soraypampa and begin our exciting hike to the Humantay Lagoon. During the trek we leave free time to enjoy the magnificent scenery and take pictures of the imposing snow-capped peaks.
We start our return to Soraypampa and get ready to board our transport. Then, we return to Mollepata to enjoy a quiet lunch and relax.
Finally, we return to Cusco. We finish our experience in the main square or Plaza Regocijo.

The trip starts at your hotel in Cusco, our transfer will visit you very early between 04:00 and 05:00 in the morning, we will make a trip of approximately two and a half hours by car to the town of Mollepata which is located in the province of Anta, where we can have a delicious breakfast and stock up with necessary provisions.
After breakfast we will continue our journey for an hour and a half by car, the road we will take is dirt (trail) to reach the community of Soraypampa which is located at an altitude of 3900 meters above sea level. During the trip we will see beautiful landscapes and the impressive snow-capped mountain “Salkantay”.
From Soraypampa we will start a 2 km hike. The trail is ascending and it will take us about 1 hour and a half to two hours, while we hike we will see a panorama of snow-capped mountains, impressive natural landscapes and a great diversity of flora and fauna until we reach the “Laguna de Humantay” which is located at an altitude of 4200 meters above sea level.
The “Laguna Humantay” is turquoise due to the mineral found at the bottom and you can see the sky reflected in its waters, the lagoon is fed by glaciers of the mountain and is considered a jewel of nature, in addition to delight us with the Humantay lagoon we can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains as the snowy Salkantay, considered the most sacred snowy in the times of the Incas, an ancient space in honor of Pachamama, Mother Earth.
Once you arrive at the lagoon, you can be part of the ceremony by placing stones to thank your arrival to this magical place, our guide will accompany you around the lagoon and tell you other interesting facts. After our visit we will descend walking until we reach the community of Soraypampa where we will board our transport to Mollepata where we can enjoy a delicious Andean lunch.
After lunch we will start our return trip to the city of Cusco. Our tour ends at 6:30 in the afternoon approximately, thus ending our 1 day hike to the Humantay Lake.
