Summary Itinerary

    We pick you up at your hotel to go to the Temple of the Sun Q`orikancha, currently preserves samples of Inca architecture. Then, walking for a time of 8 minutes from the Plaza de Armas we will arrive to Q`orikancha.

  • 09:00

    The most sacred temple of the Inka culture, with spaces or enclosure dedicated to the sun, lightning, the moon, etc.. Currently corresponds to the Christian Temple of Santo Domingo, built on the Inca walls. Here we will see the impressive Inka architecture, with finely built enclosures that will make you marvel.     Important Inka archaeological site, which is a sample of the power of the ancient Andean empire, with megalithic constructions and sacred areas that impress the visitor.     Ancient Inca religious center, dedicated to the Inca gods, with stone carved shrines and subway passages. We continue our tour and arrive at Puca Pucara.

    We continue our short trip until we reach Puca Pucara, which is a name of Quechua origin that means 'red fortress'. Its name is due to the tonality of its buildings at sunset, then we pass by Tambomachay.

    Finally we arrive at Tambomachay or Temple of Water, with its canals and Inca architecture, we have the presence of the famous Inca baths, in current operation whose subway waters come from the surrounding peaks. After this visit we return to the center of the city, the tour ends at the main square or at your hotel.

Detailed Itinerary

Our transfer will visit you at your hotel to take you to the starting point of your tour.

We have 2 shifts, the morning shift starts at approximately 08:40am. ending at 13:00pm. APROX. and the afternoon shift starts at approximately 13:00 am, ending at 18:00 pm. APROX

The tour starts heading to the Q`orikancha or Temple of the Sun, according to the chronicles to enter this enclosure had to enter fasting and barefoot, as it is considered an indigenous sanctuary, dedicated to the deities of the Sun God, the Moon, the Stars, the Rainbow, the Thunder and the Lightning, The Thunder and The Lightning where we will appreciate the fine work of lithic technology made by the Incas, with the highest level of cutting hard stone without being able to insert a sheet of paper and that despite the earthquakes remain stable to date.

After the visit to Q`orikancha we will board the transport that will take us to Sacsayhuaman located 3 km from the city of Cusco, the esplanade of Sacsayhuaman offers a panoramic view of the city of Cusco, Sacsayhuaman is a megalithic construction, with large limestone blocks weighing 25 to 130 tons. Integrated by three superimposed terraces in a serpentine form (zigzag), this place for being large and wide served to gather people and perform different festivities such as the WARACHIKUY and INTI RAYMI.
